Let customers say what they want in your app, and have it done after one tap
Published 13 October 2026
With Rendel, a customer taps the microphone in your app and says what they want, such as “send 120 euros to Deniz”. The words become text on the device, the answer comes back as your app's own screens, and anything that changes data runs only after the customer taps to confirm.
Speaking is the fastest way to say what you mean
People rarely know which screen holds the setting they need, but they know what they want. Saying it removes the search: “freeze my card”, “where is my order”, “add a roaming pass for Germany”.
The answer is not read back as a paragraph. It is the card that was frozen, the order tracker, or the pass with its price, drawn by your app.
What happens to the audio
Dictation uses the device's or the browser's own speech recognition, Apple's or Google's. The audio goes to that recognizer and never reaches Rendel; Rendel receives the text, as if the customer had typed it.
On Flutter you can also plug in your own recognizer, or turn the microphone off.
A spoken request still waits for a tap
Speech is easy to mishear, which is why nothing that changes data runs on the words alone. A transfer, a freeze or a purchase shows a confirmation card that Rendel's server builds from your action, with the amount and the recipient, and runs only when the customer taps yes.
| Said | Answered with | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| “Where's my order?” | The order tracker | At once: it only reads |
| “Freeze my card.” | The card and what freezing does | After the tap on the confirmation card |
| “Add a roaming pass for Germany.” | The pass that fits, with its price | After the tap on the confirmation card |
Questions
Does Rendel speak its answers aloud?
No. Answers are drawn as your app's screens; customers speak their request instead of typing it.
Which languages can customers speak?
Dictation follows the device's or browser's speech recognition and the languages it supports.
Can the assistant act on a misheard request?
Not for a change. A change runs only after the customer confirms the details on the card.
