Add an in-app AI assistant to your Flutter app, drawn in your app's own widgets

Last updated 13 October 2026

Rendel is a Generative UI SDK for Flutter and web apps. In a Flutter app on iOS or Android, your users ask in their own words and the answer is a page of native widgets built from your app's own data, with your app's actions behind it and a confirmation before anything changes.

What your users get

Answers are pages of native components, not chat bubbles: 36 of them, from charts and receipts to maps, forms and boarding passes, drawn by Flutter itself. Nothing is a web view.

People can type, speak into the microphone, or attach a photo or a file and ask about it. The assistant can open your app's own screens through your navigation.

What your team keeps control of

Rendel calls only the actions you allow, as the signed-in user, against your own API. Anything that changes data waits on a confirmation card built by Rendel's server from your action's template, and the user taps yes before it runs.

Switching an action off in the console refuses it from the next turn, without a new release of your app.

What it needs

Your coding agent adds the SDK to your app and fills in the Rendel console from your code; every setting can also be entered by hand.

RequirementVersion
Flutter3.29 or newer
Dart3.7 or newer
iOS deployment target13.0
Android minSdkVersion24

Where the data goes

Conversations are stored in Frankfurt, in the EU. Emails and card numbers that users type are masked before the model sees them. After an assessment, a Turkey region or your own servers, by separate enterprise agreement.

Questions

Is the Flutter SDK on pub.dev?

Not yet. Today it is a git dependency on its public repository; the platform docs give the exact line.

Does it work with native iOS or Android apps?

Not yet. Native iOS, native Android and React Native are planned, not shipped. Flutter and websites ship today.

Does it look like our app?

Yes. It takes your product's name, typefaces, colours and corners, read from your code during setup, and you can change them in the console.
