Who counts as a user?
Anyone who opens a build of your app with Rendel in it during the month, whether or not they talk to Rendel. If your app tells Rendel who is signed in, each person counts once; otherwise each phone, tablet or browser counts as one. One app covers its iOS and Android builds.
What happens if we pass the user limit?
Nothing switches off. We let you know, and if you stay over it two months in a row, we ask you to move to the plan that fits.
What happens when we use up our plan?
You hear from us at 80% and again at 100%. Add more whenever you like, or turn on auto top-up so more is added when you reach the limit. If it does run out, Rendel tells your users it can't answer right now, and the rest of your app works as before.
How is usage measured?
In credits, which pay for the work behind each answer. A short answer uses a few, and one that runs actions or reads long documents uses more. A typical conversation uses 12 to 20, which is why conversation counts on this page are ranges.
Does unused usage carry over?
What your plan includes resets each month. Anything you buy on top stays valid for 12 months.
Is testing free?
Yes. Conversations on a test key are free, up to a monthly sandbox cap, so building and testing cost nothing.
