Answer "where's my order?" with the order itself, not a link

Last updated 13 October 2026

A customer asks where their order is. Rendel reads the order and its shipment from your API and answers with an order tracker: where it is, when it arrives, and what they can do next.

Reads run at once

Looking up an order only reads data, so it runs straight away and comes back as a page of your app's own components. Changes such as a return wait for the customer's confirmation.

In Halden, a demo app

Asked: “Where's my order?”

Answered: Your Trail Runner 2 is out for delivery and should arrive today, by 6 pm.

Questions

Does it need a new API?

No. It calls the order endpoints your app already uses, as the signed-in customer.
